3 Stages of Quality Assurance

Stock seed management
Stock seed management
Step1.
Pre-Production
After breeders develop a new variety, they deliver foundation seeds to leading production experts. Then the foundation seeds need to be duplicated to stock seeds. Both production experts and breeders closely manage the stock seed duplication.
After duplication, the quality is checked by both DNA marker and grow out test in the field.

Step3.

Post-Production

Seed disinfection treatment
Seed disinfection treatment
Immediately after the harvest, the seeds are treated with a crop-specific disinfection method to wash away the bacterial/viral/fungal infection on the seed surface.
DNA marker test
DNA marker test
After production, the identity of the commercial seed is checked using a DNA marker developed for the corresponding crop. In addition, in the case of crops that tend to have a higher inbred ratio, the hybridity of F1 seed is checked through a comparative test with the DNA of the parental line of the variety.
Disease Test
Disease Test
A pathological examination is performed prior to shipment to the customer to check for bacterial and viral infections. The test is also can be done to meet the import regulations of the respective country.
Grow out test
Grow out test
The surest way to check quality is to grow commercial seeds in the field. If necessary, a grow out test is conducted directly in our facility to check germination, purity, and pathology.
